I’ve been reading Orthodoxy by G.K. Chesterton and I came across this brilliant quote. We so often want to dismiss tradition for the sake of the here and now, Chesterton beautifully dismisses the idea:
“Tradition means giving votes to the most obscure of all classes, our ancestors. It is the democracy of the dead. Tradition refuses to submit to the small and arrogant oligarchy of those who merely happen to be walking about.” - G.K. Chesterton

In his two years at the clinic, he oversaw tens of thousands of abortions, and personally performed thousands more. He stopped doing abortions after viewing an abortion through ultrasound.
