  1. Where is the garden in Revelation? Last I checked, the Biblical narrative moves from a garden in Genesis to a New City in Revelation. Where in Revelation is there a garden described?

  2. When people refer to the garden in Revelation I think it’s mainly a theological idea. Yes, Revelation and some Old Testament prophets speak of a new heaven and new earth and most specifically the new Jerusalem.

Yet, in a big picture way what is happening is the ravages of sin are being removed and the “garden” is being restored. We shouldn’t think that we’re all going to live in the same garden as Adam and Eve, but instead the intimacy and peace which existed in the garden before the fall will be restored. That is why Dr. Hannah when giving a very high overview of history says that the story of the Bible is going from the first garden to the second “garden.”

  3. Well, I agree with the big picture of Tim’s. But, my idea is a little different. In Rev. 22, there is a “garden” angel showed to John: There is the river of the water of life, and on each side of the river stood the TREE OF LIFE which was forbidden for us to approach in Genesis. The garden of the river of life and the tree of life is restored in the New Jerusalem. I think Dr. John Hannah is referring to it.
