I Am Second
By Tim on Dec 8, 2008 in FEATURED, LIFE STORIES
A new website has been able to do what many cannot. It is focused on Christ, it is simple and it is powerful. iamsecond.com features the stories of many people who have come to believe in Jesus as their Savior. The picture is of Brian Welch, former member of the band Korn, who talks about his life of sex, drugs and parental neglect before coming to Jesus. You will be challenged and inspired by hearing of others who became second and let Jesus become first in their lives.

It sounds like a good website to read people’s testimonies. I am checking it out now and it’s cool.

There’s something powerful about hearing someone’s story about coming to believe in Jesus. I’ve noticed recently how often the apostle Paul tells his story throughout the New Testament. It’s encouraged me to not be afraid of my story and to tell it often.

I have been a devoted fan of Jason Castro of Rockwall, Texas since I first heard him speak/sing on American Idol. He has inspired me to really take a reality check on my spiritual life which I may say has become quite lax in the last several years. Recently he was interviewed on I am second. I have watched it several times & have also recommended it to friends & family.
A couple of weeks ago I went to Texas for Jason’s Chirstmas concert. While there I went to Lake Pointe Church with other fellow “Jason fans.” I learned while there that there was an affiliate church here in Oregon. After doing my research I found out about Westport Church in Hillsboro. I feel that this is a message that God is trying to send to me & it is my plan to try to get to that church & become a regular member.

Donna, that’s such a cool story. We’d love to have you at Westport Church. We don’t have services this coming Sunday the 28th, but we usually have services every Sunday at 9am and 11am. Ask someone there to introduce you to Pastor Tim…it would be great to meet you. Our church website is westportchurch.org

I have to admit but I have watched most of the testimony from that site. It’s very touching to see how people change when they have passed through extreme experience.
At first I did not know the purpose of the site, but for sure they are spending a lot of money advertising on billboards here dallas, tx. I really hope they get can get their investment back while changing people in a positive way.

Jesus let me find him a little over a year ago and He changed my life completely. When I stumbled upon this website I cried like a little baby watching the videos of the people touched by Jesus. I’m so grateful that people have the guts to stand forth like they have on this website…it gives other people hope!
