I came across this quote recently from a good friend of mine, Joey, who is headed for Bangladesh as a missionary and living out the above quote. I would have linked directly to his blog, but I’m pretty sure it’s a private family-only type blog so I re-posted the quote here.

You can learn a ton about Hudson Taylor on Wikipedia here. In short, he lived in the 1800’s and spent most of his life as a missionary in China. There are an estimated 200 million people living for Christ today in China and a strong argument can be made that many of them trace back to the faithful and painful work of Taylor and those who followed him to a tough land with a tough and lovely Savior.
