On the Incarnation

On the IncarnationOn the Incarnation, by Athansius was written in 318 AD. Yes, you heard me correctly, this little book was written almost 1,700 years ago. Amazingly, this small book communicates deep truths of God in a simple to understand way. While reading this book you will forget at times that you’re reading such an ancient book. However, there are other times when the book does get a little thick and you have to continually remind yourself that you’re reading an ancient book and you need to keep yourself motivated to mine all of the gold contained in this book.

C.S. Lewis (the famous author of the Chronicles of Narnia) writes the introduction to this book. Lewis’ introduction is worth the price of the book. Lewis writes, “When I first opened De Incarnatione I soon discovered by a very simple test that I was reading a masterpiece, for only a mastermind could have written so deeply on such a subject with such classical simplicity.”

On the Incarnation is a priceless treasure for the body of Christ.
