Heart Reader

Heart ReaderThis little book packs a pretty powerful punch.  I’ve never read a book quite like this one.  With large print and only 137 pages, the ride is fast and profound.

What if you went into a restaurant and as the waiter took you to your seat you could hear the inner thoughts of every person around you.  Not only the people sitting down eating but also the waiter handing you the menu.  As you arrive at work you can hear what your co-workers really think of themselves.  And the scene goes on and on.  In this book, that is exactly what happens.  One day Sam, the lead character, is able to read the hearts of those around him.  He is shocked that the people who look totally fine on the outside, are actually really hurting on the inside.  They desperately need to know of God’s love for them.

The Heart Reader is a perfect object lesson of Galatians 6:2 where we are to, “carry each other’s burdens.”  This book helps us to see how important it is to be real with people.  We should never be afraid to build people up, they will thank us for it.

Don’t worry, you’re not going to turn into a tree hugging hippie after reading this book.  Yes, I am a man.  I like Doritos, Mountain Dew, Pizza and NASCAR.  I read this book, and I really liked it.  Don’t be afraid, be secure with your manhood and read this book.  I promise, it’s not a romance novel.  It’s a book that will change in a good way how you look at those around you.  Ladies let me tell you something, if I, a NASCAR fan, enjoyed a book entitled The Heart Reader you have no excuse.
